A day in Taormina...02-13-2016

We have had a full day  so far in Taormina.  I still have not gotten over fully the jet lag from our trip across the Atlantic.  I woke up around 0430.  Stayed up for a while and then tried to go back to sleep.  I forgot to cancel my alarm.  Woke up again at 0600.  Stayed up then.  Linda and I went out for coffee and a danish.  They did not have coffee or a danish, so we had cappuccino and a lemon and an orange tart.  All very good.
Linda washed clothes, hung them out to dry and then we hooked up with Terry and Mary and visited the Greek Theater, built in 300 BC.  Old by any standards I know.   It reminded me somewhat of Jordan-Hare before we expanded it.
We then had a lunch of Italian Pizza.  Very good, I might add.  We had planned to ride the sky lift down to the beach but found out it was closed for the season.  So we decided to take advantage of their custom of afternoon siestas.  So when I finish this post, I am taking a nap.
