Our ride to Spain
We arrived into Norfolk Air Station yesterday and declared ourselves present for a flight to Sicily. We were awarded two seats. We departed Virginia for an overnight flight to Sicily with a refueling flight in Rota, Spain. Upon our arrival in Rota, the plane developed a mechanical problem, that required parts to be brought in. Unfortunately, the replacement part did not arrive in time for us to continue on to Sicily. So Atlas Air put us up in a very nice hotel in down town Rota. The Playa de la Luz. Right on the Mediterranean Sea. A delightful break, a lovely dinner and on to Sicily tomorrow
